Our family spent seven wonderful years in Albuquerque and this may have been the place I became a true foodie. As one would expect, New Mexico is where one will find New Mexican cuisine. This is to note, something quite different from the norm of salty, blandly hot, oily, cheese-encrusted stuff they called “Mexican food.” Around the corner from Henry’s in Kihei you’ll find Amigo’s. A #3 and a #5 (Chicken Enchilada and a Chili Verde) are about a close to anything you’ll find near Menaul and Candelaria. So ono!
Libby & Christy (da bah tendas), Da’ Ha’yans (da ban’), Tracy (species servius spiritus Hawiiana) and maybe Randy actually dancing. Follow this up with a dash to Amigo’s and you’ll have a recipe for a simply marvelous Aloha Friday.
Anyway, paint looks better; the disaster left by my previous hasty exit’s repaired, new artwork hung, etc. I didn’t get the can lights instaled in the baths. Next trip… The kitchen is DDFG.

Getting ready for Phase 1a hasn't been easy, but I think we're abour ready to hit a few of the bigger tasks. And I've only been at it for a little over a week.
Actually, a few things have been accomplished. I replaced the failed pendant lights, had the lanai carpet, area rug and sofa cleaned and did a few other small maintenance tasks. Also, on Aloha Friday I got the the outlets put in the island. It only took one trip to Ace (screws for cable clamps) and I wrapped the task up just in time for the Bow's game (that'd be the UH v. Boise St.) and Henry's. GO, now #12 in the BCS, Rainbow Warriors!
A few years back, the geniuses in the athletic department at UH decided that 'Rainbow Warriors' sounded too gay, so they shortened the name to just 'Warriors', dumped the rainbow logo and replaced it with a tough looking dark green tapa-esque pattern. No more sissy look for this team. Did I mention their coach is still named June?
Anyway, anyone having any history in the islands still calls 'em da Bows. Go Bows.
Off to do ceiling touch-up.

This is where we take care of a bunch of stuff that didn't get done the first time (Phase 1). You won't believe this, but I actually had a request for a camera. It's up on the Cam page. The place looks much better than it did in July.
